The Electrical HV/MV Contracts Manager plays a pivotal role in the Power division of Ireland's top multi-disciplined engineering and construction company. This esteemed organization excels in delivering industry-leading services across various sectors, including civil engineering, transport infrastructure, steel fabrication, water and wastewater management, power generation, natural resources, and geotechnical engineering. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will oversee project delivery from initial stages to completion, ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders and clients such as Eirgrid & ESBN.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Delivery: Manage projects through the initial work-winning phase, design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
* Team Leadership: Lead a team of professionals and manage other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
* Client Management: Collaborate with Eirgrid & ESBN, and other clients to meet their requirements and expectations.
The Electrical HV/MV Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects involving:
* Design and Construction of New Substations and Grid Connections for Renewable Energy Generation Assets such as Wind Farms and Solar Farms.
* Design and Construction of Upgrades to Existing Substations and Other Assets on the National Grid.
* Design and Construction of New Substations and Grid Connections for Data Centre Projects.
* Design and Construction of Overhead Power Lines.
* Design and Construction of Underground Power Cables.
Requirements
* Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer (preferably Chartered with Engineers Ireland).
* A minimum of 5 years' experience working for a Tier 1 Electrical Contractor in Ireland as a HV/MV Project Manager or Senior Electrical Engineer looking to move up.
* Demonstratable experience of managing HV/MV projects, including:
o Safety, Health, and Environmental Management.
o Design management within Eirgrid/ESBN parameters.
o Procurement of major equipment.
o Planning, programming, and resourcing.
o Commercial and Contract management.
o QA/QC and Commissioning of projects.
