Quantity Surveyor
Located in Dublin (D22), this position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in maximising project margin and adding value to the construction process through proactive involvement in procurement, cost management, and reporting. They will be responsible for driving best value from suppliers and subcontractors, conducting monthly financial reviews, forecasting final outturn values, and negotiating contract variations.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
* Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
* Measure, value, submit, and negotiate contract variations.
* Provide advice on commercial and contractual matters to project staff.
* Prepare, submit, and negotiate project final accounts.
* Commercially vet sub-contractor tenders and contracts.
* Certify sub-contractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
* Ensure adherence to business commercial processes at project level.
* Assist in preparing and adhering to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.
* Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors.
* Manage and produce accurate formal reports.
* Monitor all commercial information related to the project.
Requirements
* HNC or B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
* Minimum 5 years quantity surveying experience in a similar organisation.
* Commercially astute, numerate, risk-averse, and able to accurately forecast cost and sales.
* Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player.
* Good practical organisation skills and programme scheduling.
* IT literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Project.
