Payroll Specialist Parkwest, Dublin 12 Permanent Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 Office Based Initially My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll Specialist on a permanent basis.
Candidates will need to have a minimum of 3 years payroll experience.
This person will be processing a monthly payroll for 500 employees.
Candidates will need to have experience processing payroll for high volume numbers.
Experience using Sage Micro pay and Softworks would be a distinct advantage.
This role will be office based initially, hybrid working can be discussed after the initial probation period Experience within the Healthcare Sector would be a distinct advantage Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end payroll process and expenses on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, pension contributions, BIK and other statutory obligations, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC, in line with Irish legislation.
Process all payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments, and overtime.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring that all payroll data is correct and up to date.
Prepare and submit statutory returns, such as P30, P35, P60, and P45, in compliance with Revenue requirements.
Respond to employee payroll queries, providing clear explanations and resolving issues promptly.
Liaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth integration of payroll data with other systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure all payroll deductions, including pensions and benefits, are processed correctly.
Conduct payroll audits, identifying and rectifying discrepancies or errors to maintain the integrity of the payroll system.
Assist with year-end reporting and ensure that employees receive accurate payslips and annual statements.
Produce monthly payroll reports for the accounting team Stay up to date with any changes in payroll legislation.
Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data, ensuring that all information is handled in compliance with GDPR.
Key Skills: IPASS Accreditation or similar would be an advantage but not essential for this role Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation and tax regulations.
Familiarity with pension schemes and benefits administration.
Post-graduate or additional qualifications in HR or finance is a plus Experience managing payroll for a large workforce Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organisational skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to deal with queries from employees in a professional and clear manner.
A high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
