Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance (PAM) Ireland Ltd is Ryanair’s first heavy maintenance facility in Ireland. Established in May 2022, the company supports the maintenance of Ryanair's growing Boeing 737 NG and MAX fleet and is located in a 3-bay hangar in Shannon, Co. Clare. The facility employs highly skilled aircraft engineers, mechanics, and support staff. The successful candidate will join a team of highly skilled staff, playing an essential part in safely maintaining a fleet of over 600 aircraft for one of the world’s largest and most successful airlines.
Due to our continued growth, Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance Ireland are recruiting for a Technical Training Instructor to join the Engineering Training department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about aviation and interested in teaching a wide range of aircraft engineering topics to our staff, whether they are at the start of their career or at the top of their profession. We seek someone who will promote training and be an ambassador for the highest standards we maintain.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of all technical training to engineering staff to the highest industry standards, including but not limited to:
1. Delivery of all Inductions/Technical Training associated with business needs across all airlines within the Group
2. Delivery of Specialized Type Training
3. Delivery of Part 145 theoretical and practical training
4. Delivery of Health and Safety based courses (i.e., Forklift, Fuel Tank Entry, Dangerous Goods by Air, etc.)
2. Development of instructor materials (course outlines, lesson plans, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)
3. Desirable knowledge of EASA regulations; regular review of all procedures/regulations relevant to the training course being delivered.
4. Extensive ability to develop and approve training material using various delivery methods (classroom, eLearning, Virtual, etc.)
5. Capable of delivering technical training in a practical manner
6. Fully able to maintain and develop the training centers for further learning enhancements across all levels of training.
7. Strong capability to demonstrate a “hands-on” attitude and strong organizational skills.
We are looking for someone to join our team who has experience in aircraft technical training or within aircraft engineering. The successful candidate should be keen to learn, provide new ideas to the training team, and interact openly with the wider network. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be working with different nationalities, diversities, and ages. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, has a good attitude, and is a fun, positive, and open-minded person! You must also be willing to integrate into a dynamic training team.
Requirements:
1. Must have experience in aircraft engineering.
2. Ideally hold Forklift (RTITB), MEWP (IPAF), and/or any other Health & Safety qualifications.
3. Experience in reviewing regulations/compliance base procedures.
4. A keen eye for detail and ability to escalate issues, find solutions, and address them with the management team.
5. Ability to plan and work to deadlines set by the management teams.
6. Good working knowledge of Office 365 and a willingness to learn new programs/software tools to enhance working methods.
7. Effective communicator who can interact with the team through all types of communication (verbal, face-to-face, virtual).
8. Open-minded, eager to learn new skills, and bring new ideas to the team.
9. Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility for timely completion of work.
10. Flexible and able to adapt to change quickly.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Must hold a valid EU passport.
13. Willingness to travel, as frequent travel is a requirement of the role.
14. Advantageous to hold an EASA B1 License.
