Job Summary
The Dublin five-star property is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to further develop its MICE and Corporate business segments. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing existing accounts, and identifying new revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement annual MICE sales plans in collaboration with the team.
2. Manage a portfolio of local and national accounts, including existing and new clients.
3. Solicit new business in the domestic MICE market through targeted efforts.
4. Identify and develop business opportunities in the corporate groups segment, focusing on domestic clients.
5. Maximise revenue from existing and new accounts through strategic planning and effective account management.
6. Participate in regular sales activities, including client visits, site inspections, fam trips, trade shows, sales missions, and networking events.
7. Assist in completing regular SWOT analyses on competitor hotels.
8. Manage sales projects as per business requirements.
9. Monitor and report on local market conditions.
10. Implement the hotel's yield management strategies for Rooms, Meetings & Events, Food & Beverage outlets.
11. Support the Director of Sales & Marketing as needed.
Ideal Candidate
1. Minimum two years' proactive/MICE hotel sales experience in a target-driven environment.
2. Bachelor's degree with strong business acumen and performance.
3. Strong administrative skills and ability to meet deadlines.
4. Knowledge of the Irish and Dublin corporate market.
5. Familiarity with conference agents/DMCs/PCOs.
6. Sales-focused, target-driven, and results-oriented, with a proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
7. Self-starter with excellent closing skills.
8. High levels of personal motivation, organisation, and time management.
9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Commercial awareness and understanding of yield management.
11. Confident, ambitious, and proactive, with a drive for success.
12. Ability to respond to a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
