About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee construction projects in the Cork area.
Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful financial management of our construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely cost advice, cost planning, and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation & finalising subcontract orders, financial & commercial management of subcontractors to Final Account completion.
* Managing and reporting forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, and assisting in site records & document control.
* Liaising with & commercially influencing/challenging the site management team while maintaining & protecting our clients' commercial & contractual entitlements.
* Managing & overseeing Assistant Quantity Surveyors & Trainee Quantity Surveyors, checking & taking responsibility for their work & signing off SMM/measurement issues.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 4 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and computer skills.
* Experience building and maintaining supplier relationships.
