What will I be doing?
You will be working on a 38kV Substation and 9.5km 38kV grid route, ensuring compliance with the latest ESB (Electricity Supply Board) specifications.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing civil works, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Oversee the design and construction of a 38kV substation and 9.5km 38kV grid route, ensuring compliance with ESB standards and safety regulations.
Monitor and manage civil engineering aspects, including site preparation, foundations, substation building, ducting, drainage, and existing service crossings.
Work closely with designers, contractors, and project managers to ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines.
Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with ESB representatives, local authorities, and other stakeholders for necessary approvals and inspections.
Prepare progress reports and as built documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve any engineering issues that arise during construction.
Is this role for me?
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience in civil engineering, preferably in substation or electrical infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of ESB specifications and standards for 38kV infrastructure.
Experience with service crossings, trenching, ducting, and substation civil works.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software Full driving license and willingness to travel to site locations as needed.
