Job Title: Customer Delivery Network Designer (Engineering Officer)
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe network designs within their discipline, utilizing relevant standards set down by ESB Network Assets and adhering to Company Standards.
* Preparing high-quality designs, calculating electrical loads, developing costs, producing design drawings, and measuring design clearances on electricity networks from LV to 38kV.
* Liaising with Local Authorities, landowners, and other parties to obtain routes for underground cables and overhead lines in accordance with legislation and ESB policies.
* Applying for and processing Road Opening Licences, arranging cable easements and forestry easements, and obtaining consent from landowners including issuing wayleaves.
* Delivering an excellent customer service in line with ESB Networks Customer Charter, fulfilling the role of Designer under the Construction Regulations, and gaining knowledge of HV/MV/LV Electrical Networks.
Requirements:
* A minimum QQI Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate
* A full cleandriving licence
* Ability to translate scope and policy requirements into constructable designs
* Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
About the Role:
This position will be based in Athlone/Longford. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week.
