What is the opportunity ? This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the design, implementation and oversight of the overall Reinsurance and Actuarial Function strategy! It provides an outstanding opportunity for you to develop technical experience, and offers the opportunity to liaise with internal and external partners, including with senior management within the Actuarial, Risk and Product teams. In this role you will Support the Reinsurance Actuary and senior partners within the Actuarial Function to design, implement and maintain oversight of the reinsurance strategy for the Company. Support the ongoing relationships between the Company and its reinsurance partners including calculation, review and settlement of accounts Support the quarterly reporting process within the Actuarial Function area. Monitor and lead the reinsurance and investment exposures, alongside leading and supporting with key projects Prepare papers and providing updates to the Company's Reinsurance Committee and Risk Committees on various Reinsurance and Capital Management developments and projects Collaborate with Reserving, Capital, Finance, Risk and Product colleagues What will make you stand out? Extensive experience of the life and pensions business Strong analytical, problem solving and modelling skills Consistent track record in maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders Highly organised, with a demonstrated ability in leading and delivering on multiple tasks A proven track record to work effectively with, and constructively challenge and influence the actions of partners. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Past experience of the Life (re)insurance market is desirable. Essential Qualifications Qualified Actuary. More about the team The position is a key role within the Reinsurance area of the Actuarial Function. It reports to the Reinsurance Actuary. The role will also support the valuation and reporting of reinsurance arrangements on a quarterly basis in order to meet financial reporting deadlines. This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person teamwork exact frequency to be agreed with manager. Why work with us?
