Accounts Administrator
Morgan McKinley is delighted to be working with a Cork-based client in the recruitment of a detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join their finance team.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting financial operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day account management.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Prepare and file VAT and RCT returns
* Maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations
* Manage sales invoicing, customer statements, and overdue account follow-ups
* Process customers' receipts
* Process and file purchase and expense invoices
* Support monthly payment run process
* Investigate and resolve supplier queries
* Perform up-to-date maintenance and reconciliation of Creditors ledger to supplier statements
* Process weekly bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Assist with the annual financial audit
* Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by the business
Ideal Candidate:
* Accounting technician qualification is an advantage
* Strong background in a similar role within the SME sector
* VAT & RCT compliance experience is essential
* Previous experience in property/construction industry is desirable
* Able to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
* Organized, efficient, and confident personality
* Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
