Engineering Technician Job Summary:
This role involves working as a full-time Engineering Technician for a medical devices company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain equipment and systems supporting manufacturing processes.
* Act as the engineering owner for assigned equipment and systems, ensuring effective maintenance of systems, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
* Proactively monitor systems and equipment to detect malfunctions prior to failure.
* Complete all maintenance tasks in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Coordinate external contractors providing various services, including waste management, pest control, cleaning, gowning, effluent systems, security, fire safety, and facilities maintenance.
* Provide technical input and support to engineering and other projects.
* Manage and coordinate external contractors.
* Offer technical support for qualifying new equipment and systems in collaboration with validation teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant trade certification, such as fitter, electrician, or refrigeration technician.
* Other relevant certifications or equivalent experience demonstrating competency in the relevant industry environment.
* Experience in the medical device field is highly advantageous.
* Exposure to computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
