We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager - Retail to join our Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Exceed agreed territory sales budget and stretch budget and margin targets for the Retail business.
2. Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new retail customers linked to the current commercial plan.
3. Maintain all accounts within Musgrave’s credit terms.
4. Maintain Territory Management costs within allocated budgets through good time management, resource management, and the most effective call pattern for each customer.
5. Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
6. Complete all administration e.g. 4-week journey plans achievement report, weekly sales reports, record cards, and gains and losses report.
7. Manage customer margin targets in line with overall territory targets.
8. Sales Blitz activity as required as part of the company overall sales drive.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 3+ years’ experience in proactive field sales and achieving targets in a Retail environment.
2. The ability to demonstrate and evidence a strong track record in sales and/or the securing of new business.
3. The ability to build long-term relationships.
4. Strong interpersonal skills at face-to-face level.
5. The ability to cope with competing demands and prioritize tasks.
6. MS Office proficiency.
7. Full clean driving license.
8. Strong working knowledge of the independent grocery retail sector in Ireland.
