Additional Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with other members of the team and with colleagues in other parts of the organization to provide excellence in service standards to our customers.
* Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage own workload whilst responding to changing competing priorities
* Completing all tasks in line with Department Procedures including those for renewal management, complaints and error management, SLAs, CPC timelines and agreed Personal Business Objectives.
* Any other duties/responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned in line with company requirement.
* Support junior members of the team by reviewing and signing off on their work (referrals / renewals / manual typed letters etc.)
Education
* Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).
* Meet regulatory requirements as described in the Minimum Competency Code (Source: Central Bank, 2011) and Fitness and Probity Standards (Source: Central Bank, 2012).
Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Insurance Underwriter
* Proven track record of high-performance standards.
* Strong technical understanding of Insurance products and Underwriting disciplines.
Competencies
* Strong technical understanding of Personal Lines Insurance products.
* Strong knowledge of the Irish Personal Lines Industry.
* A pragmatic decision maker with solid underwriting assessment and reasoning skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and an active desire to develop knowledge and experience.
* Quality focused to provide excellent service to all customers and meet deadlines as required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated record in building working relationships within team units and with other internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent keyboard skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and an underwriting application.
* Ambitious and energetic in their approach to their work and possess a positive outlook.
