Trinity College Dublin- an introduction Post SummaryTrinity Innovation & Enterprise (TrI&E) seeks to appoint an experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Development Manager to join an established Knowledge Transfer / Technology Transfer team within the KnEx (Knowledge Exchange) office to provide cover on a temporary basis for a period of authorised leave.
The role will require an individual with sound knowledge and proven experience of intellectual property development, intellectual property management and the commercial exploitation of intellectual property in the higher education sector or in the private sector.
S/he should also have experience of establishing and fostering industry-university relationships between the two sectors.
Post status: Specific Purpose ContractThe specific purpose of this employment is to fill a vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorised leave.
Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return.
If the postholder does not return to work the post will be filled through open competition.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-6), Salary Scale (€68,181 - €107,959 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
