Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy, planning, and management of a large-scale renewable energy company.
This individual will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring the company's financial health, and supporting the execution of growth strategies aligned with our mission to deliver sustainable and innovative energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and growth initiatives. Oversee capital structure, balance sheet management, and long-term financial planning to support large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects.
2. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Analyze financial performance and market trends to identify opportunities and risks. Provide actionable recommendations to the CEO and Board.
3. Manage the capital allocation process to improve total value contribution and optimization of the current and future investment portfolio.
4. Ensure Treasury operations are effectively managed in accordance with policies approved by the Board. Optimize the funding position of the company. Develop and manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions. Oversee the raising of capital, including debt, equity, and other financing mechanisms.
5. Maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks to mitigate financial risks. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including those related to renewable energy reporting.
6. In collaboration with the Head of IT, ensure the implementation of a comprehensive and robust IT strategy that is aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
7. Comply with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premise.
8. As a key member of the Senior Management team, proactively use the Performance Management process as a means to support resource planning within your team and the wider organization.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and/or qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
2. 10 years+ progressive financial leadership experience with a strong background in infrastructure, renewable energy, or related industries.
3. Proven capability executing business strategy, creating momentum, and driving results.
4. Proven track record of capital raising and managing large-scale financial operations.
5. Deep understanding of renewable energy market dynamics, financing structures, and regulatory environments.
6. Exceptional communication, analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills required.
