The purpose of this post is to:
Under the direction of the ADON IPC, and working as part of the CHO IPC/AMS team, deliver infection prevention and control nursing services in line with the CHO work plans, including the promotion of strategic goals identified in Irelands National Plan for Antimicrobial Resistance (iNAP2, 2021-2025) and subsequent updates.
Provide and maintain a comprehensive, efficient and effective infection prevention and control service within the Community Healthcare Organisation.
Promote service user safety and quality through the prevention, surveillance, investigation, and control of infection, incorporating guideline development, audit and research, and staff education, working at all times within his/her scope of practice
Develop, support and promote efficient and effective infection prevention & control programmes across the CHO settings including capacity building for health care workers.
Support and contribute to the development of National projects relating to community infection prevention and control service developments.
