Procurement Specialist
Responsibilities
The role will be broad and includes a wide range of activities as outlined below:
* Govern our client’s supplier qualification process in compliance with procurement policies and processes
* Optimise our client’s supplier validation, engagement, onboarding and management processes
* Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligations
* Lead our client’s quotation and tender activities
* Co-ordinate and drive contract negotiation with our clients’ suppliers
* Development, analysis and reporting of supplier management metrics at both detailed and MI levels
* Maintain a central repository for key performance, contractual and financial documentation
* Develop innovative approach to identifying vendor and process risk, and support mitigation activities to protect our clients from potential liabilities
* Indirect material sourcing and procurement, ensuring accuracy and contract adherence
* Complete material and service analysis, validating activity and supporting variance reconciliation
* Tracking of service and cost procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement activities
* Provide ongoing support and updates to the Head of Supply Chain
* Construct reports and dashboard views for the Senior Management team
About You:
* CIPS training preferred, with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in procurement
* Qualification in procurement or finance desired
* Experience driving procurement model change within supply chain is a distinct advantage
* Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential
* High degree of numeracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
