Primary Function
In this senior role, you will be accountable for maintaining and developing the site infrastructure, environmental sustainability while driving reductions in greenhouse emissions, energy use, water use and waste generation. The role provides and maintains the environment for our employees to stay safe and productive.
This is a key role that will require excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills and will interact with all levels of the organisation ensuring competing priorities are managed objectively and in line with the overall business strategy.
Responsibilities
1. Facilities:
o Manage the provision of hard services (building fabric, roads and landscape, access control, security) and soft services (catering, cleaning to GMP standards).
o Budget planning, control and reporting.
o Establish service contractor agreements, coordinate schedules, and monitor contractor performance & undertake cost analysis for facilities management and project works.
2. Utilities:
o Management of energy supply and distribution (electrical and natural gas supply).
o Management of Utilities plant: CHP units, Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Refrigeration Plant, HVAC.
3. Service Governance:
o Ensure that all service providers deliver services to the agreed service level.
o Ensure that Third Party Suppliers, Contractors and Service providers follow EHS and GMP standards.
Education Required
* Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering) is required.
Knowledge
* 10+ years of business working experience in operations / manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the management of outsourced services with demonstrated ability to run and lead service providers.
* Experience dealing with a large portfolio of plant and equipment.
* Familiar with maintenance management programs.
* Ability to communicate sophisticated business / technical challenges in a simplified manner.
* Experience utilizing Lean six sigma principles RCA’s and FMECA’s to identify the root cause of issues and evaluate related underlying issues. Quantify issue’s using 6 sigma tools Pareto and DMAIC.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint essential.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
* Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools and phases.
* Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods.
* Highly collaborative work style which includes working successfully across all organisational levels.
* Possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Must be open-minded and adaptive to change, promote the collective interests of the team more than self-interest, able to resolve problems in a respectful manner.
