Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve targets.
* Spend 80% of your time engaging with clients, building relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities in the field.
* Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders to expand our market presence.
* Branch Operations:
* Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring a high standard of customer service and efficient stock management.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the in-store team to achieve performance goals.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Customer Relationship Management:
* Build strong relationships with both trade and retail customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Act as the key point of contact for major clients and projects.
* Financial and Performance Management:
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability.
* Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize operational efficiency.
* Market and Product Knowledge:
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
* Provide expert advice on construction materials and solutions, leveraging in-depth product knowledge.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally within the construction, building materials, or hardware sector.
* Strong sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to generate new business and achieve targets.
* Knowledge of the construction industry is highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
