The 4* Galmont Hotel & Spa are currently recruiting Kitchen Porters.
Must be available to work mid week.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and progressive Irish hotel group, and work with the Kitchen Team for The Galmont Hotel & Spa Galway. The main purpose of the role is to assist Management to ensure that our Kitchen and the back of house areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and that food is handled and stored in a hygienic manner in line with Company procedures.
Main Duties:
* Ensure that you receive a handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to ensure that you are aware what needs attention during your shift.
* Provide an excellent back-up service to the Kitchen team in order to ensure that customer’s orders are served in a timely manner.
* Ensure that the kitchen area is constantly maintained to a high level of cleanliness at all times.
* Ensure that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
* Ensure that all food processing equipment is cleaned thoroughly as required.
* Adhere to all cleaning schedules and complete all paperwork associated with the recording of all cleaning.
* Adhere to all principles of Food Hygiene and HACCP.
* Cleaning of all staff areas including locker rooms, toilets and staff dining area as required.
* Monitor activity on all communication channels within the hotel .
* Maintain a positive and polite demeanour throughout your shift and with all colleagues.
* Follow all standards as outlined in your department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents.
* Assist in the documentation of all quality standards and the adherence to these standards.
* Ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
* Maintain procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of food and beverage products, inventory and equipment. Replenish supplies in a timely manner and minimise waste and pilferage.
* Complete all instructional training as required including induction, equipment and food safety procedures.
* Adhere to governmental regulations as well as brand standards and hotel or company policies and procedures.
