Job Title: Health Professional – Elder Care
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate health professionals to provide exceptional care to elderly clients. As a Health Professional in Elders Care, you will support clients with personal care, medical assistance, and daily activities to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care Assistance:
o Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
o Provide mobility support, including help with walking, transferring, and positioning as needed.
* Health Monitoring and Management:
o Monitor vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
o Administer medications as prescribed and track medication schedules.
o Provide support for managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis.
* Meal Preparation and Nutrition:
o Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions.
o Assist with feeding when necessary and ensure proper hydration.
* Emotional and Social Support:
o Foster a positive and empathetic environment, addressing clients' emotional needs.
o Engage clients in social activities, games, and conversation to enhance mental stimulation.
* Communication with Family and Healthcare Providers:
o Maintain clear communication with clients' families and healthcare providers regarding health updates and changes in condition.
o Document care activities, changes in client health, and daily observations.
* Safety and Emergency Management:
o Evaluate and mitigate risks to ensure a safe environment.
o Be prepared to respond to emergencies, providing first aid or contacting emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Education:
o Nursing certification, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or relevant healthcare qualification.
* Experience:
o Previous experience in elder care or similar healthcare settings is preferred.
* Skills:
o Strong communication, patience, empathy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Certifications:
o Current CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
Working Conditions:
* Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on client needs.
* Physical demands, including lifting and assisting clients, may be required.
