Maintenance Technician - Days

Your New Role:
">
As a Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Facilities Manager and ensure that all plant, equipment, and services on site are operational and maintained in a safe working order.
">
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
">
Diagnose equipment faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic disciplines.
">
Prioritize work as events occur.
">
Effect repairs on equipment where possible, seeking technical assistance from suppliers or manufacturers if necessary.
">
Identify and provide Team Leaders with requisitions for parts and materials required for repair.
">
Plan and assist with the installation of new or relocated equipment.
">
Specify type and quantity of materials required for installation.
">
Carry out routine inspections of plant and equipment.
">
Ensure appropriate records are kept.
">
Maintain safe working procedures.
">
Train other personnel when required.
">
Communicate effectively with Team Leaders and Management.
">
Liaise with outside contractors as necessary.
">
Make recommendations on new equipment or design improvements.
">
You'll Need To Succeed:
">
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
">
Time served Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline.
">
Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop.
">
Experience working with CNC Turning & Milling Multi-Axis Machines.
">
Ability to work safely.
">
Ability to work with little supervision.
">
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
">
A results-focused self-starter with excellent analytical skills.
">
Proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
">
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
">
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

What You'll Get In Return:

Working a days shift pattern (Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 + early finish Friday 08:00-13:00) you will earn a strong hourly rate of £18.95.
