The opportunity As an Oracle Ebusiness Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure systems that support our Oracle Ebusiness OnPremise Environments.
This includes oversight of Infra Architecture, server installations, virtualization platforms, network security, and load balancing solutions, with a specific emphasis on Exadata database systems.
You will work closely with the IT team to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our networks, servers, and related components.
Your key responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and robust infrastructure solutions.
Install, configure, and maintain Wintel servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Perform Windows Server and Linux installations and configurations according to best practices.
Manage virtualization environments using Hyper-V and VMware, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Oversee the administration and patching of network security devices, including firewalls (Juniper and Fortinet), ensuring compliance with security policies and understanding of firewall rules.
Maintain load balancers and DNS systems, including technical oversight, patching, and configuration to ensure high availability and performance.
Provide technical oversight and perform patching for CISCO switches to maintain network integrity.
Administer and configure secure file transfer solutions, such as GoAnywhere, to meet business requirements.
Manage and optimize Oracle Exadata database machines for high performance and reliability.
Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with application needs.
Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are in place and tested regularly.
Document infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Solaris skills also desirable.
Skills and attributes for success Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, VCP or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an EBusiness Infrastructure Engineer.
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role with a focus on infrastructure architecture and server management.
Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking protocols.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata database machine administration and optimization.
Understanding of security best practices, including firewall rule management.
