Position Description The Profile Data Services (PDS) team is responsible for Quarter Hourly profile data collection and delivery to Market Participants within the agreed service levels and timescales of the Market.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work as Profile Data Services team member.
The primary role will involve supporting the Manager and Team Leaders of PDS in various operational tasks within the section, in particular ensuring the smooth functioning of the PDS Helpdesk.
The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for phone support for Network Technicians on the ground, using applications such as MV90 (Software Application) and SAP ISU along with MS Office etc.
They will also have the opportunity to work closely with other business units in Retail Market Services such MRSO and MD Database.
This is a period of significant change in the industry with the roll out of Smart Metering and new generation technologies, providing personal opportunities for both growth and development.
Key Responsibilities Providing technical support to Network Technicians on the PDS Helpdesk phoneline.
Performance of PDS Operational tasks.
Supporting PDS Validation team.
Share knowledge and skills openly with other members of the team.
Work in accordance with agreed guidelines, policies and procedures.
Support in the delivery of KPI's, providing reporting, analysis as required.
Contribute to the development of new business processes and continuous Improvements.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change.
Experience and Qualifications Essential Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
Good communication skills with a strong emphasis on telephone communications.
Working knowledge and competency in the use of IT systems.
Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and appropriate attention to detail.
A flexible approach to working and an ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable Technical support experience.
Knowledge of ESB Networks business.
