We are currently recruiting for a Wedding Coordinator to join the team at The Loughrea Hotel and Spa. Join our award-winning Hotel, winning Top Rated Venue in Ireland, 2024 and Top Rated 4-Star Venue, 2024.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of wedding planning and coordination, ensuring an unforgettable experience for couples and their guests.
Responsible For:
* Overseeing the smooth execution of weddings, from initial planning through to the big day, including vendor coordination, timeline management, guest services, and ensuring all details are flawlessly executed.
* Working closely with couples to understand their vision, offering expert guidance and support throughout the entire process.
Key Responsibilities:
* In charge of meeting and exceeding couple expectations both over the phone, email, and in person.
* Provide information, quotations, proposals, and contracts to all customers in a timely and accurate manner.
* Respond to all wedding inquiries as soon as possible (email, phone, walk-in).
* Ensure that detailed files are kept from the first meeting until the wedding is completed.
* Negotiate packages and confirm wedding sales.
* Ensure that customer feedback is forwarded to the department manager for follow-up.
* Promote weddings actively within the hotel to maximize sales opportunities.
* Keep abreast of industry trends both locally and globally.
* Monitor competitors, packages, products, and marketing.
* Provide professional, appropriate, and timely responses to all feedback, comments, and complaints.
* Develop and implement creative marketing strategies to promote the hotel as a premier wedding destination.
* Daily office administration duties in collaboration with the events & sales team.
* Attend all wedding fairs, both in and out of the hotel.
* Manage wedding budgets, contracts, and partner relationships to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction.
* Oversee the planning and execution of wedding open days, showcases, and promotional events.
* Using the PMS system, prepare and maintain administrative documentation for events, implement proper filing procedures, and ensure the computer system is always up to date and accurate.
* Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the hotel.
The Hotel: Lough Rea Hotel and Spa is one of the most highly recommended venues in Co. Galway, situated just outside the quaint town of Loughrea overlooking Loughrea Lake. Guests can enjoy the Rooftop Garden Bar and Sky Lounge, which boasts panoramic views of Loughrea Lake and the Galway countryside.
The hotel facilities consist of 92 bedrooms, Shore Island Spa, ample free car parking on site, Lir Bar & Brasserie, Abbey Restaurant, along with a large conference suite and 5 breakout rooms catering for conferences up to 500 people.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in wedding sales or event management would be beneficial but not essential.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive nature with an outgoing and friendly personality.
* Target driven and self-motivated.
* Must be hands-on and willing to be flexible in terms of work days and hours as the business requires.
