Job Summary:
Provides technical support to control system projects and service teams. Travel to client locations for installations, maintenance, or repairs of control systems.
Education and Experience:
* Associate in Applied Science or Associate in Science in Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems Technology, relevant curriculum or experience.
* Typically, 0-3 years of industry experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
* Assist in project installation, start-up and commissioning of control systems.
* Perform instrument loop checks and calibrations.
* Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
* Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
* Wire instruments and control panels.
* Develop basic understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.
* Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
* Practice procedures outlined in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
* Accurately document work performed.
Customer Service:
* Communicate effectively with customers.
* Follow customer specific site standards and procedures.
* Provide excellent customer care and support.
* Always follow up and honor commitments with customers.
Project Responsibilities:
* Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
* Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.
Required Skills and Abilities:
* Listens closely and actively seeks knowledge from senior staff members.
* Able to solve problems.
* Maintain professional relations with co-workers.
* Proficient in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.
* Possess and apply hands-on electrical and mechanical skills.
* Work safely, using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Promotes a positive/collaborative team culture.
* Up to 100% of time spent at customer locations with overnight travel up to 60%.
On Call:
* On call rotation participation may be required based on location and client needs.
Work Authorization/Other Requirements:
* Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
* Maintain a valid drivers license.
* Fit for Duty at all times.
