**Job Description:**
A Cork-based Mechanical Engineer with experience in a regulated environment is sought for this Maintenance and Reliability Engineer role.
Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support to maintenance teams and equipment owners within your area of expertise.
* Evaluate and implement maintenance programs to ensure reliable operation of equipment.
* Develop and deliver training sessions for maintenance personnel on new equipment, methods, and techniques.
* Investigate and resolve issues identified by equipment owners or through preventative maintenance programs.
* Promote and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality standards across the team.
* Maintain local maintenance procedures in line with Global Engineering Standards and Best Practices.
* Ensure job plans, data sheets, and data loaders for computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) are accurate and detailed.
* Lead reliability improvement initiatives to identify equipment obsolescence and plan for proactive replacement.
* Support continuous improvement projects to enhance the Maintenance program and maintain a reliable plant.
* Analyze predictive and condition-based monitoring data to inform follow-up actions and prioritize implementation with equipment owners.
* Contribute as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to site Mechanical Specifications and develop Departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Review and manage Stores and Inventory levels of critical equipment.
* Conduct internal audits and periodic reviews to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) activities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance/engineering role within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Proven ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
* Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing systems, procedures, and processes.
* Familiarity with relevant EU directives (e.g., PED, ATEX, Machinery etc.) and national/international engineering standards (e.g., NSAI, ASME, ISO, CEN, IEC, CENELEC etc.).
* Expertise in Troubleshooting and Equipment Failure Investigation.
