Property Loss Adjuster (In-house) - Galway - Hybrid Role About the Role: Our client, a leading insurer, is expanding their in-house property claims team and is seeking an experienced Property Loss Adjuster to join their dynamic operation.
Reporting to the Property Claims Manager, this position is key to providing technical guidance on both Household and Commercial Property claims.
You will act as a trusted expert, supporting claims handlers in delivering accurate assessments, cost-effective solutions, and outstanding service to policyholders during critical times.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactively manage a portfolio of personal and commercial property claims from initial assessment to resolution, ensuring efficient and fair outcomes.
Provide expert technical guidance on policy coverage, claims validation, and loss assessment to internal teams.
Work closely with Motor & Liability Claims Teams to manage third-party losses effectively.
Drive technical excellence by identifying and implementing best practices in claims validation and cost management.
Support the development of systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in claims handling.
Deliver training and mentoring to property claims handlers, strengthening the team's technical capabilities from validation to settlement.
Monitor industry trends, identifying opportunities for strategic improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the Central Bank of Ireland's regulations and industry best practices.
Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Property Claims Executive.
What You'll Bring:
CIP qualification as a minimum, or an equivalent certification.
Minimum of 3 years in Loss Adjusting or Property Claims Handling, with a deep understanding of the Irish insurance market.
A background in construction, building surveying, quantity surveying, or engineering is a strong advantage.
In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, CPC/CICA regulations, and GDPR compliance.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a proven ability to handle complex claims.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong report-writing abilities.
High level of initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound real-time decisions.
