Quality and Patient Safety Administrator (Mental Health Service)
We are pleased to announce the opening of a Quality and Patient Safety Administrator role within the Quality & Patient Safety Department.
The Quality and Patient Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting the quality and clinical governance agenda and activities in Highfield Approved Centre and community mental health services. This includes supporting the organisation to meet legal and regulatory requirements and best practice with the Mental Health Commission (MHC) standards and specifically the Mental Health Act Administrator Role.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 - 5pm

Some of the responsibilities are:
* Develop and maintain systems and procedures to ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) 2001.
* Deal with any queries and resolve problems, in keeping with the boundaries of the role, in relation to the implementation of the Act or during Mental Health Tribunals.
* Coordinate and facilitate all Mental Health Tribunals.
* Provide guidance to clinical staff regarding their obligations under the MHA 2001.
* Gather and analyze clinical outcome measures and patient satisfaction data to support best practice in the provision of mental health services.
* Ensure staff are kept up to date with the latest developments communicated from the Mental Health Commission.
* Provide secretarial support to the Clinical Governance committee for the mental health services including minutes, agendas and reports.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven organisational and administrative skills.
* Be fully computer literate and have very good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe.
* Proven track record of working within a busy and dynamic environment with excellent time management skills.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
* A relevant third level or professional qualification in a health, social care or related discipline.
* Be flexible, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to act on own initiative.
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001 and guidance in relation to the practical application of the provisions of the Act.
* Experience of cross functional team working.
* Strong patient service or customer service experience.
