The Global Head of IT is a critical leadership role and is responsible for the alignment of the global IT strategy with ARIs business objectives, ensuring technology drives business growth and operational excellence.
This role proactively manages business demand for IT services, programs, and system development, delivering innovative and commercially beneficial solutions across ARIs global operations.
A key responsibility is to drive consistency, transformation, and strategic use of technology to unlock new opportunities.
Additionally, the role fosters a value-driven partnership between ARI and daa Group IT, strengthening collaboration and enhancing enterprise-wide capabilities.

In addition, the role works closely with Group IT Security to build and maintain compliance with Information Security Policy by developing and implementing the ARI Cyber Security Plan.
A critical priority is advancing the analytics strategy, embedding Power BI to support data-driven decision-making and business intelligence.
IT Management and Strategy Ensure the IT and Analytics strategy is fully aligned to ARIs business strategy.
Be the Champion for the ARI management teams in relation to IT and be the primary strategic interface into both the daa IT management team and ARIs Business Units.
Work with ARIs central support business manager(s) and ARIs Business Units to align technology solutions with business strategies.
Lead the IT governance and controls agenda for all ARIs Business Units.
Establish and nurture a culture of continuous process improvement in the delivery of IT overall.
Develop team members and empower agile decision making Business Development and Implementation Support the ARI Business Development team by recommending the optimum IT solution and costs to be submitted as part of the tender process for new business.
Take the IT lead on new business unit implementation along with a project Manager.
Preparation of role profile and hiring of local IT Manager.
Technology & Program Management Oversight of ARI IT projects and streams of work Lead in management of Microsoft Navision / Business Central Development Roadmap Be the IT lead for the demand of IT governance and clear business requirements and also be the IT point of escalation and conduit with the daa IT PMO for ARI central support and business units.
Work with the ARI business and the daa Service Delivery Manager to: define business and IT performance metrics & measures; and to track and report on benefits realisation & customer satisfaction levels, including SLAs.
Facilitate the planning and execution of business changes through the use of technology, including working with the ARI business to ensure business processes are aligned with enhanced IT solutions.
Be accountable for working with Group IT Security to deliver compliance with daa Group Information Security Policy via the ARI Cyber Security Plan.
Analytics Embed data analytics into central support office and BUs to driven data driven decisions Maximise the data available to the business in the most efficient manner Empower and develop team members Third level degree or diploma in Information technology, Computer Information Systems, or a relevant related field Advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of IT best practice overall and a very good understanding of the ARI business / General Retail, across all areas Strong relationship skills with an ability to operate and be respected at Executive and Senior Management level Good understanding of best practice IT Strategies and Business Engagement Thorough understanding of the ARI business and market sector and be able to use that knowledge to anticipate how future IT Solutions need to evolve to meet business requirements Strong strategic planning capabilities (approaches and processes, tools, deliverables)
Proven experience of contract negotiation and supplier management; experience of successfully integrating business and operational requirements into supplier relationships A track record of delivering world class IT solutions within a large, complex commercial operation with exposure to a variety of systems, projects and users Has led step changes within IT functions making improvements in both productivity as well as customer satisfaction Able to cope with opposing points of view under pressure Diligent and Data Driven decision maker Strong communication skills, able to present at all levels up to executive level Strong commercial and financial awareness, monitoring, co-ordination and budget ownership Able to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills Skills:
