We are currently seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join a prominent firm in the professional services sector. This role will be an integral part of the Finance team, working alongside a group of dedicated finance professionals.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll play a crucial role in month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and more.

Your Role
* Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
* Collaborate within a team to produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
* Prepare month-end and quarter-end P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations, resolving any queries or issues.
* Work closely with budget holders for budget preparation, forecasts, capex plans, and variance analysis.
* Review outputs from the Accounts Payable, Banking, and Accounts Receivable teams, authorising payments.
* Prepare annual and quarterly accounts required under industry regulations, addressing queries.
* Collaborate with the tax function to provide financial data and analysis for tax filings.
* Support the preparation of annual financial statements, including liaising with external auditors.
Your Skills
* Qualified Chartered (ACA) or Certified (ACCA) Accountant.
* Diligent with a passion for process simplification and improvement.
* Curious mindset with a track record of optimising system functionality.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced MS Excel skills.
* Experience with accounting software.
* Previous experience in a professional services firm environment would be advantageous.
