Our client is seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join their Complex Infrastructure team. You will play a critical role in the planning and execution of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects in transportation, urban development, and critical infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the successful delivery of projects through effective schedule management, resource planning, and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule Development: Create and maintain baseline project schedules, defining critical paths, milestones, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
* Interactive Planning: Lead interactive planning workshops, ensuring robust and realistic schedules based on best practices and benchmarking data.
* Schedule Integrity: Align schedules with project deliverables, execution strategies, and contractual requirements.
* Progress Monitoring: Update schedules, validate progress, and ensure schedule accuracy in line with complex infrastructure project requirements.
* Variance Analysis: Identify and analyze variances, reporting key performance metrics such as Earned Value (EV), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
* Resource Planning: Define and track resource allocation and man-hours, ensuring alignment with cost controls.
* Reporting & Communication: Generate detailed project reports, trending charts, and schedule analyses. Lead progress updates and stakeholder communications.
Skills & Experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience with project planning software, preferably Primavera P6.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., critical path method, earned value analysis).
* Background in project planning, analysis, and reporting within the transportation, urban development, or infrastructure sectors.
* Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and deadline management.
* Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
* Proven ability to lead meetings and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
