We are currently seeking a skilled Mechatronic Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Lisburn. Our advanced manufacturing and technology business is growing rapidly, and we need a talented individual to contribute to the development of innovative products in the energy sector.
Role Overview:
As a Mechatronic Engineer/Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical and mechatronic engineering, from design to testing and certification. This includes leading continuous improvement projects across the business, working within a cross-functional team to ensure product development milestones are achieved on time, and developing mechanical designs using CAD modelling and simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and support continuous improvement projects across the business.
2. Work within a cross-functional team to ensure product development milestones are achieved on time.
3. Develop mechanical designs using CAD modelling and simulation tools.
4. Ensure all designs comply with quality and regulatory standards.
5. Develop and execute verification & validation test plans for new product development.
The Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience working with complex mechanical/electrical systems.
* Competency in machined metal & sheet metal part design.
* CAD experience (Solid Works / Auto CAD), including creating detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
* A hands-on approach to design and testing, including prototyping and modifications.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
