Our client has an exciting new role for a Quality Control Technician.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day quality function & assisting in the running of the department.
This role will be reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Benefits include: Salary: €33, 000 - €35,000, but negotiable depending on experience.
Hours of work: Mon - Fri - 8.30am - 5.00pm.
Time keeping bonus and contributory pension scheme also available.
Role Responsibilities: Contribute to the development and review of HACCP, and Quality Management systems and other codes of practice to ensure compliance and feed safety.
Assist with quality control function including incoming inspections, process controls, scheduled quality checks.
Carry out routine sampling and keep sampling records and results updated and reporting of the results.
Monitor internal Quality Control analysis results and taking corrective and preventive action where results fall outside target specifications.
Lead quality initiatives e.g.
providing technical support, process improvements.
Assist with the investigation of quality issues & taking prompt action to resolve issues.
Recording all non-conformances and returned products along with carrying out investigation, and report findings.
Respond to customer queries or complaints in a timely and efficient manner through case management.
Dispensary operations to include weighments; stock management; reconciliation of feed additives & medications; validation checks on customer prescriptions, QC approval of materials onto site.
Carry out Hygiene, Maintenance and Glass hazard Audits.
Carry out internal audits and report findings.
Report anomalies in processes, product, or procedures.
Carry out Induction Training for new employees, maintain existing training records and help plan training in conjunction with QM.
Assist in the implementation of Health and Safety & Environmental programs.
Key Experience and Skills: Relevant qualification in food-related discipline .
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and experience with quality software platforms.
A team player with flexibility, adaptability, and a keen eye for detail.
