**Job Description**
As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Tasman Change Team, responsible for requirements definition and change request management.
* Collate, understand, and document business requirements for change requests or review same from third parties.
* Create clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
* Analyse and document current (As Is) and proposed (To Be) business processes from an operational and system perspective.
* Map and re-engineer processes to create efficiencies.
* Presentation of business benefits and articulation of requirements at all levels, including Senior Management.
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and clients to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
* Liaise between the development team and the business.
* Gather requirements and create spike/change requests from incidents and errors.
* Ensure deliverables and documentation meet Mars Capital Change Delivery Model standards.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
* Take a proactive approach to investigating issues and proposing solution designs in collaboration with other tech team members.
* Assist in developing test plans and performing user acceptance testing where required to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience in Business Analysis/Requirements Gathering and Business Change roles, preferably in Financial Services.
* Experience in Financial Services, specifically Mortgages, Loans, or Payment sectors.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with third-party clients.
* Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, such as DevOps and Confluence.
* Exceptional documentation skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Experience and knowledge of creating in-depth User Acceptance Criteria.
* Strong understanding of financial controls and risk.
* Demonstrable experience working on operational and technology process analysis and design.
* Proficient in using Visio or equivalent process mapping solutions.
* Process identification and mapping.
* Knowledge of waterfall and agile development methods.
* Proven stakeholder management experience, able to facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at multiple levels within an organisation.
Complexity
The systems against which the candidate will develop are complex in their level of interconnectivity and design. Architectural and logical decisions often need thorough refinement before any implementation.
Influence
The candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills as they will attend meetings with users at different levels across the business, discussing new work and participating in reviews of code releases where database development requirements were in-scope.
Resource
The candidate is expected to ensure that their work is of high quality and collaborate in peer review of their own deliverables and those of other team members. Senior members are expected to guide more junior team members and structure their development in line with Mars development practices.
