Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s IT Operations Teams support hardware installation and configuration and ongoing maintenance of the computers/data centre. They coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot employee issues with personal computers and related systems; provide support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. TE’s IT Operations Teams provide timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. They develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support. At times they may monitor and troubleshoot equipment and assist with logging and documentation, cabling, racking, and server installations.
Responsibilities:
* Install, configure and deploy applications, hardware & operating systems
* Ongoing maintenance and support of Desktop/Laptop devices
* Basic troubleshooting of hardware & software
* Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
* Work with and support team members on various projects
* Provide timely resolution of issues
* Work in collaboration with our 3rd party support contractor
* Develop documents and implement standard operating procedures
* Periodically provide 1st level support to users for all issues raised by phone, email, self-service or face to face
* Any other duties as required
Requirements:
* Associate Degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field
* Working knowledge O365 environment essential. Specifically, MS-Outlook & TEAMs
* Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within particular field
* Experienced knowledge of Networks and IT infrastructure.
* Demonstrated ability to drive & solve technical issues through to completion
* Excellent team player
* Resourceful, self-educating and self-motivating
* Excellent team player with strong communication and customer-facing skills
* You must have strong organisation and time management skills
* You may be required to travel to and / or support other sites
* Motivated self-starter with a “can-do” attitude who works well to tight and varied deadline.
