The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization. SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.
What you’ll do:
As a Quality Engineer II, you will perform readiness testing to help bring integration capabilities to the organization using testing methods. We’re seeking a Quality Engineer II for our team, which is responsible for ensuring that our iOS, Android, Web, and Consumer Electronics users have the very best music experience. You’ll have a huge impact on the quality of products and services by acting as a champion of quality engineering. You will be involved in all testing activities throughout the SDLC. You will leverage your knowledge and experience in testing to influence better software design, promote best practices, introduce bug prevention strategies, testability, and other advanced quality concepts across products.
What will be your responsibilities?
1. Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
2. Assist in the development of end-to-end automated test cases.
Requirements and General Skills:
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
* Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
* History working with automation frameworks creating automated test scripts.
* Tester’s Mindset - Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work.
* Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies.
* BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
Technical Skills:
* Understanding of all test fundamentals, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test management tools, and defect tracking tools.
* Experience in Test Frameworks, in test automation.
* 3-5+ years’ experience as Test engineer.
* Experience with tools - Jira, Git, Charles.
* Knowledge and application of at least one programming language.
* Experience with Git.
* Experienced with Satellite module testing and user interface or communication protocols.
* Experience in SiriusXM test automation is a plus.
* Experience with Code Coverage tools and procedures is a plus.
