We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team on a Swing Shift basis. This role is based in Annacotty, Co. Limerick, for a global medical technology company specialising in devices that enhance patient care.
Role Overview
This position involves utilising technical skills to support the manufacturing of medical device products. Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring Quality and EHS policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Supporting day-to-day manufacturing and process support.
* Maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborating with Team Leads to plan and prioritise planned changeovers and equipment setups.
* Working with the wider group to identify opportunities for yield and cost-saving improvements.
* Providing solutions to systematic downtime and process issues within the technician and wider engineering group.
* Supporting CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) project activities within the Value Stream.
* Maintaining effective communication and handover of downtime and process issues between shifts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* An engineering or relevant manufacturing qualification to Certificate level.
* The ability to use interpersonal skills to handle day-to-day manufacturing and process issues.
* A good mechanical aptitude to solve day-to-day mechanical issues in the production environment.
* A self-starter attitude with drive and enthusiasm for quality and yield improvements.
* The ability to work as part of an effective engineering team.
* The ability to work with cross-functional teams in the Value Stream and wider site.
* Injection moulding experience (knowledge is preferred but not essential).
* Knowledge and experience of working in the medical devices industry (preferred but not essential).
