Site Manager
We are seeking a Site Manager for our client, a main building contractor. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing new build or refurbishment of high-end domestic projects to a successful completion and handover.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the overall site management and supervision of works on site on a day-to-day basis, including facilities, services, and neighbours.
* Ensure timely delivery, within specification, and on budget while maintaining high safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Comply with project operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, quality, regulations, safety protocols, and BCAR inspection.
* Manage main contractor staff and service providers, ensuring their performance, training, and adherence to quality standards.
* Implement regular programmes and issue programme details to subcontractors.
* Coordinate progress on site with Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor, addressing contractors' and vendors' needs, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships.
* Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify requirements, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
* Manage on-site activity to ensure just-in-time delivery with procurement schedules, ensuring effectiveness and value.
* Coordinate fortnightly look aheads in conjunction with the overall project programme.
* Manage H&S procedures to the highest standard of compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
* Construction qualification or trade qualification.
* Proven experience as a Site Manager in a similar role on domestic projects.
* Good knowledge of building regulations, BCAR, and H&S legislation.
* Setting out and inspecting various elements during construction.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff and subcontractors.
* Problem-solving mindset with critical thinking abilities.
* Proficiency in using computer software and systems relevant to site management and reporting.
* Fluent oral and written English is mandatory.

* Competitive salary subject to experience (£60,000 - £80,000 per annum).
