Job Overview
The R&D Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of key activities to support the liquid and packaging development process. This role also involves coordinating Value Engineering projects (efficiencies and optimization in pack, liquid and process improvements) across the business while also contributing to the delivery of these projects. You will ensure robust technical expertise is applied with rigor to gain competitive advantage and ensure projects are delivered right first time.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement & Budget Management: Support the purchase and management of materials and services, including raising purchase orders, communicating, and maintaining flow of orders in the system. Maintain the relevant budget tracker and reconcile reports.
* Product & Packaging Support: Assist the liquid and packaging teams with daily activities such as batch preparation, raw material approvals, and formulation approvals. Organize and manage lab activities, including sensory testing, stability testing, ingredient logs, and analytical equipment calibrations (monthly/yearly). Order trial materials and coordinate delivery, collection, packaging, and courier arrangements.
* Value Engineering (Efficiencies) & Project Management: Co-ordinate the delivery of assigned Value Engineering projects (efficiencies and optimization in pack, liquid and process improvements), ensuring successful implementation. Ensure all project work is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Britvic's stage gates and milestones.
* Master Data & Technical Documentation: Complete and submit Master Data Management documentation. Input weights and measures in master database for Britvic Ireland.
* Artwork & Labelling Compliance: Input all required artwork information into the Artwork Approval System. Review and approve all artwork within Britvic Ireland, ensuring compliance with technical requirements. (Team activity as required)
* Co-Packing & External Collaboration: Provide technical co-ordination for co-packing partnerships, ensuring alignment with company standards, processes, and quality assurance protocols. Work closely with external partners to ensure compliance with specifications and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Requirements
* Experience of working with within cross functional project teams is desired
* Accomplished IT Skills using Microsoft suite of programs (including MS Project)
* Knowledge of SAP system is desirable
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, specifically relationship building, facilitation, written / verbal communication is essential

Education/Qualification
* Honours or Degree equivalent in relevant science discipline preferred (e.g. Food science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering).
* Project management qualifications are desirable.
* Science/Technical background preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years in a relevant industry or role such as food science, project management, or administration.
