Building Surveyor
A Hybrid role requiring you to take ownership of key projects and clients. You will be expected to operate independently and as part of a team to deliver an exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyzing building defects, collecting information and measurements.
* Undertaking Technical Due Diligence (TDD) surveys and associated report writing.
* Providing reasoned advice and recommendations, including report preparation and presentation.
* Contract Administration, including advice and implementation procedures for construction contracts.
* Project Management, managing specialists and sub-consultants for project design and construction solutions.
* Preparing designs and specifications at outline/initial and detail stages.
* Reporting on progress and quality of building works by third parties.
* Condition record preparation.
* Schedules of dilapidations negotiation with relevant parties.
* Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCA's).
* Preservation/conservation of historic properties advice.
* Maintenance management and supervision, PPM schedules preparation.
* Development monitoring.
* Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), health and safety management and compliance requirements.
* Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Minimum two years post qualification experience.
* Chartered Building Surveyor with SCSI or RICS membership.
* Ambitious, motivated, able to work unsupervised, and operate within a close knit team.
* Flexible working hours dependant on client instruction.
* Managing individual instructions, building and maintaining client relationships, providing outstanding client care.
* AutoCAD software proficiency.
* Practical understanding of commercial property.
* Strategic problem solving approach.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Strong written communication and report writing skills, good attention to detail.
* Clean full driving licence required.
