This role offers an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position within a high-performing Audit team, gaining exposure to a broad client portfolio across a wide range of sectors. As Assistant Audit Manager, you will support the Audit Manager and Partners in planning, executing and finalising audit assignments. You'll also play a key role in managing staff on-site, reviewing work, and ensuring consistent delivery to the firms high standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in leading audit assignments from planning through to completion Conduct detailed audit fieldwork and supervise on-site teams, ensuring quality and efficiency Brief junior staff on engagement objectives and provide on-the-job support and review Identify key risk areas and tailor audit approaches accordingly Maintain close communication with clients and their teams throughout the engagement Review financial statements and audit documentation to ensure compliance with Irish GAAP and FRS 102 Flag significant audit issues to senior management in a timely manner Prepare clear and concise audit reports and recommendations Help manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple engagements Support in staff development and performance feedback for junior team members Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards What Were Looking For ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification Minimum 3 years experience in a professional services firm, ideally in audit Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS 102, and risk-based audit methodologies Proven ability to manage multiple audit tasks and meet deadlines Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills both written and verbal Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff Solid project and time management abilities Confident, client-focused, and proactive in identifying areas for improvement Why Join?
