What is the role?
The primary responsibility of this Shannon based role is to provide quality first-level IT technical support for a growing business with an outsourced manufacturing model and an internationally located commercial organisation.
What are the key responsibilities?
* Provide first-level onsite and remote technical support across multiple Irish sites, including Galway, Shannon, and global commercial locations.
* Ensure IT standards and policies are followed.
* Maintain the Support desk, ensuring support tickets are logged and users are kept up to date on their status.
* Build and deploy PCs for local and remote users.
* Troubleshoot IT Infrastructure and Network problems and escalate issues when necessary.
* Installation and configuration of appropriate approved software on company devices according to specifications.
* Analyse support ticket logs to spot common trends and underlying problems.
* Update Support Desk knowledge base articles to ensure call resolution details are available to colleagues.
* Perform ad hoc IT tasks as required.
What education and experience are required?
* Degree in Computer Science/IT or relevant experience.

* Good organisational, prioritisation and administrative skills.

* Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of client issues.
