Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Grid Delivery team as a Technical Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with subcontractors, design teams, suppliers, network operators, and owner's engineers.
• Implement rigorous quality assurance and control processes to ensure construction work meets technical specifications, industry standards, and best practice safety processes.
• Coordinate and evaluate compliance with grid code requirements and technical standards for high voltage equipment.
• Analyze and report test results related to grid primary and secondary equipment.
• Review design documents to support projects and mitigate technical risks throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
• Proactively identify and address technical issues, taking preventive measures and managing deviations from project schedule, budget, or scope.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to manage the design and delivery process.
• Conduct site visits and support project delivery teams to mitigate challenges from installation through to commissioning and compliance testing.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding in power systems, grid code compliance, substation and underground cable design.
• Basic understanding of ROI/UK distribution and transmission systems and key stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery of high voltage grid connection assets, with a focus on safety, timelines, quality, and cost.
• Experience working successfully on multiple projects with demanding deadlines.
• Effective commercial acumen, with experience in budget management and contract management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Outlook, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
• Full and valid driver's license.
