About the role: Act as a key stakeholder in delivering the programmes Standards for Quality Assurance in Colorectal Screening, ensuring alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic objectives.
Provide comprehensive business support to programme management, including drafting and submitting business cases for funding proposals or new service applications, as well as preparing programme memorandums of understanding.
Analyse programme data and compile detailed monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports as required by programme management.
Serve as one of the primary relationship managers for BowelScreen, maintaining strong partnerships with external clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, as well as service delivery partners such as screening colonoscopy units, designated cancer centres (for histopathology, CT colonography, and surgery services), and call management services.
Optimise the efficient operation of all BowelScreen-related clinical services by liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, supporting the development and monitoring of performance and quality standards, and tracking key performance indicators.
Responsibilities: The position of Grade VII, Senior Programme Coordinator encompasses both managerial and administrative responsibilities which include the following: Strategic Operations and Planning: Draft and submit business cases to Programme Management in relation to proposals to support funding/new service applications Lead on the development, implementation and updating of BowelScreen Programme projects as required by BowelScreen Programme Management.
Build effective alliances and constructive working relationships with the wider NSS and other areas of the HSE and externally to support and build capacity for the implementation of projects.
Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role, for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc.
