Junior Safety & Health Engineer / Safety Professional - Limerick

We are seeking to appoint a Junior Safety & Health Engineer / Safety Professional based in our Limerick office. The role involves working on a variety of projects nationwide where we act as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP). It may also include working as a health and safety coordinator for projects where we are appointed as PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage).
Description and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a motivated professional committed to ensuring the company's roles on projects are fulfilled and to developing a positive safety culture. The candidate should have an interest in Safety and Health Legislation and a desire to grow into a specialist Safety & Health Engineer / Safety Professional through our graduate training program.
Main duties include:
1. Assisting with the discharge of the PSDP role on construction projects
2. Attending client, design, and site meetings
3. Preparing preliminary safety and health plans
4. Compiling and preparing safety files
5. Preparing health and safety reports
6. Carrying out site visits
7. Coordinating and liaising with all project parties
8. Conducting inspections and preparing reports on legal health and safety cases
9. Working with contractors' PSCS to discharge the PSCS role on projects
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (e.g., Architecture, Civil & Structural, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering)
* Minimum of 1 year experience
