About the Role: AA Euro Group have been retained to seek an experienced Materials and Logistics Controller to join our clients dynamic team at a power/data centre plant in Dublin.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and transportation of materials to support ongoing operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics or materials management, exceptional organisational skills, and a current forklift licence.
Key Responsibilities: Materials Coordination: Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment on-site.
Ensure accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and audits.
Oversee the organisation and layout of storage areas for maximum efficiency.
Logistics Planning: Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials.
Collaborate with suppliers and transport teams to optimise delivery schedules.
Monitor and manage freight costs, ensuring compliance with budget requirements.
Operational Support: Liaise with project managers and site supervisors to forecast material requirements.
Ensure the safe handling and movement of equipment and materials.
Maintain accurate records of materials, deliveries, and logistics activities.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all site health and safety standards, including the proper use of PPE.
Conduct regular equipment checks, including forklifts, to ensure safe operations.
Ensure compliance with environmental and waste management regulations.
Requirements: Proven experience in a materials/logistics coordination role, preferably within the construction, power, or data centre sectors.
A valid forklift licence is essential.
Strong understanding of inventory management systems and logistics planning.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to materials handling.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and relevant inventory management software.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications: Certification or qualification in logistics, supply chain, or materials management.
Experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
