Key Responsibilities
1. Act as ‘Person Issuing the Works’ (PIW) for all Fibre works.
2. Planning and compilation of work packs with the Fibre Manager and Subcontractors.
3. Ensure Fibre Resources are allocated accordingly to ensure handover dates are met.
4. Validate as-built information.
5. Assist with the planning and tracking of handovers.
6. Resolve fibre issues on site pertaining to design SLDs and FOs.
7. Assist the Quality Manager to ensure 100% quality of the works.
8. Liaise with the Stores Coordinator to ensure materials are available for the works.
9. Monitor incoming network faults & ensure timely closure.
10. Carry out audits of test results for handover to ensure 100% compliance.
11. Track fibre revenue & provide daily totals to senior management.
12. Manage Co-Lo/Exchange access requests via the relevant systems.
13. Assist with the preparation of patching sheets at handover stage.
14. Submit change & outage requests where necessary.
15. Assist with the closure of customer complaints relating to fibre.
About the role
TLI Group Telecoms Division are seeking applicants for the role of Fibre Engineer, based in Limerick, working on Fibre Optic/Telecoms construction works in the Munster region. Experience in all aspects of fibre optic construction, planning, splice plans, SLD’s, test results and troubleshooting of the fibre network are a requisite for this role.

* Fibre Splicing & Testing.
* Overhead Copper/Fibre Implementation.
* Copper Jointing & Testing.
* Fault Location Experience with OH and UG networks.
* Evidence of several consistent successes within the Utilities sector.
* Experience planning and coordinating the deployment of fibre crews.
