You will identify and then educate on where Version 1 is uniquely positioned to support their needs. You will build out sales and partner channel opportunities to maximize the lead generation and brand exposure.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping new business for our Banking, Insurance & Capital Market sectors, leveraging existing and create new relationships for commercialsBuilding long-term profitable relationships with senior-level key stakeholders in strategic and designated accountsYou will lead large sales opportunities (7/8 figure sales opportunities) developed both directly through our Commercial team and/or through our strategic technology partnerships (Microsoft, AWS, and Oracle)Lead on smaller sales opportunities/bids independently or with involvement from other members of the commercial team.Communicating effectively the value of Version 1’s products and services via personal presentations and clearly written proposalsYou will be leading the execution of contracts awarded to Version 1 – client engagement, commercials, contracting, delivery practice engagement, and project mobilisation.As the Business Development Director, you will be supporting and delivering on the production of bids and tender responses.Collaborating cross-functionally to develop sales and marketing strategies to promote Version 1’s product and servicesMaintaining relationship with channel partners (AWS, MS, Oracle etc) to ensure effective and timely delivery of their commitmentManaging pipeline, financial forecasting, activity tracking, strategic and territory planning ensuring successStudies and undertaking demonstrations during the selection process for large consulting project or managed services bids.Lead the pre-qualification process to ensure all customer sales opportunities and bids are fully qualified and identified as winnableRespond to detailed Customer Requirements documentsPreparation and delivery of Prospect and Client presentations of Version 1 propositions to customersPreparation and delivery of presentations for use at various Version 1 customer events.Liaise with Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations to ensure the successful delivery of presentations, tender responses, and contracts to Prospects and ClientsSupport all levels of the Bid process lifecycleExperienceYou must have extensive experience in a sales environment with a solid background in the Financial Services Sector.Experience working as a successful business development director delivering IT Services and technology solutions into the Financial Services sector in Ireland.Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels across an organisation internally and externallyInfluencing skills: the ability to get people at multiple levels to deliver what you need on time and with high quality, even though they won't report to you will be critical to the success of the role.Knowledge of the Financial Services Sector buying cycles and procurement processes, including Frameworks, Channel Partners (AWS/Microsoft), and complex bidding environmentsStrong written skills in order to complete tender and internal documentation to a high standard – you must have excellent Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills.
