Role Location: Vhi 360 Health Centre, Carrickmine Role Purpose As a Primary Care Physician in Womens Health you will provide high quality evidence based care to women at different life stages, focusing on (but not exclusively) menopause, family planning, and menstrual disorders. Benefits: Competitive salary comparable with GP sessional rates Excellent company pension Health insurance Income protection Life insurance Performance related bonus Medical indemnity paid for by Vhi Key Responsibilities Assess and manage patients with complex womens health symptoms in the community, liaising where appropriate with other medical specialties Provide holistic, multidisciplinary approach to the care of Vhi customers seeking support to address womens health needs, optimize health and well-being and/or address chronic disease needs Engage with other consultant and primary care colleagues within the Vhi network and 360 Centre Promote and develop disease prevention measures Champion clinical excellence and patient-centric healthcare engaging voice of customer and capturing patient reported outcomes Communicate to patients, provide relevant lifestyle advice and ensure patient understanding of their results Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Opportunity to work across other specialist services within Vhi Coordinate an integrated patient journey across all Vhi services and liaison with external referrals when required. Education & Experience Hold specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council in the division of General Practice or other relevant speciality Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience (inclusive of GP Training) Postgraduate experience in the area of womens health Experience working with multi-professional, multi-disciplinary teams Experience facilitating patient pathways from community to tertiary care Registered cervical smear taker Experience in menopause care Skills and Abilities Experience of developing, applying and reviewing an evidence-based approach to decision-making Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Provide patient focused, empathic care Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organising skills and has the ability to manage multiple complex tasks Ability to analyse and interpret data to measure success of health and wellness initiatives. Understands the principles of efficient patient flow.
